Greetings adventurers!

It was one of the most wonderful moments of my life walking through the square and seeing a elven lass who had plopped down a fully featured oven from her back and started churning out cookies for those passers by. I was enamored by the craftsmanship and ingenuity needed to get it into a usable form, though I did have a slight suggestion in the form of everburning magic wood to keep the temperature more well controlled. I offered to craft some for her should she let me take some measurements and mimic the design. I don’t think they’ll be flying off the shelves this holiday season, but perhaps some might just find it useful.

Our patrons get early access to all of these items as well as additional formats that are easily usable in both physical and online play for D&D and Pathfinder 2E. Additionally they get high-res art exports, easy to use text exports, behind the scenes updates, and a lot more.

Design notes from Matthew:
From the start, we had a really clear idea for this one. I mean what could be complex about an oven on a backpack? Fernando’s illustration direction for it was perfect though. I didn’t know what to expect and he delivered on this really classic shape of a wood fired oven while also strapping everything to it one could conceivably need to bake some bread for your crew. It was fascinating watching him bring it to life and just strapping a silly pun name to it was all I had to contribute.

I had a clear idea of what exact properties I wanted this to have from the start. Sometimes with my design process, I will have a general idea and as I’m writing it more will come into focus or I will think about other potential uses. From the start, this one had very clear ideas in that I wanted it to make food for the party obviously, but I wanted to give that food a little boon they could use going forward. I wanted to give it the ability to provide a temporary weapon buff by heating up a blade, and then I wanted the smoke feature for a clean getaway if needed. Once I had that, I just needed to make the rules.

The 5E variant was actually a bit harder to write than the PF2E one this time around, mostly due to the nature of having to write in limiting language while PF2E can just have a limitation listed. I think we got pretty good parity on this one though. Designing for low levels is a blast and it’s something I hope to do more of soon.

I have to give a shout out to Sean from McRoMusic for giving me the name on this one. I had a much worse name set up for it, but a talk about upcoming things at PAX Unplugged cemented this much better variant. Sean makes wonderful music for all kinds of TTRPG settings. I recommend you check out his Patreon if you haven’t!

We highly encourage you to join our Discord server where you’ll get access to exclusive channels that have sneak peeks, behind the scenes chatter, and more.
