Hello Supporters! 

Today I have a quick Photoshop tip for y'all:  sometimes we need to convert an opacity map into something that has an  alpha channel. Different apps deal with this concept differently: Iray  uses opacity maps, whereas Blender and Unreal Engine can use the  transparency in a PNG file. I'll show you how to turn the "black" in  such a map into an alpha channel in Photoshop.

Gimp has a great feature called Black to Alpha, we'll use Blending Options in Photoshop to get the same effect.

Thanks, Jay. I think you can also select and recolor or delete using the Quick Selection Tool or Magic Wand Tool. Command-I will invert a selected color and Command-Shift-I will invert the selection itself, both of which might come in handy.
