Howdy folks! In this episode I'll show you how to use the newer  better Genesis 8.1 shaders on the older Genesis 8 figures. It's not a  one-click process, and a little bit of additional work is involved, but  if you prefer the functionality and litheness of Genesis 8, you can reap  the benefits of the new shaders with this process.

Inspired by a little chat I had with Dominic on Discord, I first wrote an article about the steps and thought a video might be just as helpful. While I was at it, I also  made a German Version of this. I'll put this out on YouTube sometime  next week, or when I've made a handsome looking thumbnail. Enjoy!

By  the way, I've finally installed my new Yeti X microphone in the  "studio". This video marks the first time I'm using it for a recording,  which required a few audio tweaks. Hopefully it should alleviate the  volume fluctuations I've had with my old Yeti. There was an odd issue  with mixed in mic levels during monitoring, but I've managed to fix this  and took some notes on how I did it too.

Now it's back to editing in Premiere for me: Yesterday I've recorded 4 more episodes for the Daz Masterclass (in addition to the above two videos), and my plan is to record the  remaining 4 today. Hopefully I'll wrap up the "principle photography"  for the series this week, then it's on to the meta data bits like  writing the PDF and collating the links I'm talking about.

Have a great week, and thank you for your support 😎
