Hey everyone! So if you're planning on attending the $5+ patron live show this Sunday, then I have some things to ask!

Last show was the first show where there wasn't enough room and David wasn't able to enter the show. Google Hangouts only allows 10 people in a chat, and as my patron base for that tier is growing a lot, it's time to switch to a new thing.

EDIT: Someone recommended a new website that will allow up to 25 people to chat with video, voice, or typing. Taking a first look, it seems to be exactly what I'm looking for! I think I will have a test with you all to see how to handle a larger group before the Sunday live show. Let me know if you're interested. Maybe on Saturday, just for a few minutes to see how it goes.

There is the built-in YouTube Livestreaming service. It is easy, you don't have to sign up for stuff to see it, and it will automatically record and such. The only thing is that you won't be able to speak out loud, but there is a text chat box.

The main focus will still be interacting with you all and hanging out, not just doing something on camera and ignoring you. There's not a huge delay it seems, so I'll still be able to chill with you in real time.

My question is that, will it bother you to go from speaking to typing? Or is that totally cool with you?

Another option is to set up a Skype call, which allows up to 25 people to voice and video chat. But that would require people getting a Skype account and downloading and if someone was unaware of that requirement beforehand, they would have a whole process to do last minute to join the show. And Skype is also not known for its amazing streaming quality.

What do you guys think? Is there another option that you know of that would solve all the issues? Please let me know!

Well I'm a newbie so i can't really comment on preferring speaking to typing. But as you said skype doesn't have the best reputation. Maybe you can look into rabb.it? It's mainly used for streaming movies but it does have voice and video support and I know jellybeanasmrs rabbit streams supports up to 25 people. Could be worth a shot to look into.

I think both can work. I do like the ability to be able to talk since it's much easier and faster ( I'm not the fastest typer) but Skype does come with its own set of issues. Man I'm really torn between the two.

I don't mind the lack of talking and only typing. That's my preferred method. I don't care for using skype. Not a big fan of it. Have used it in the past. But I'll go with whatever method you decide on, obviously :)

But at the end of the day I'm fine with whatever you decide. I'm lucky enough to attend the shows anyway so... yeah :)

kittehcult suggested a site we can use and it seems promising! I'll do a test on Saturday to see how it handles crowds :D

If you have to settle for something that's text chat only, for the sake of being able to include more people and have it run smoother, then I think that's fine. But hopefully this rabb.it website will be a good solution. I'll try to join on Saturday for the test. :)

Another option that a lot of youtubers and twitch streamers use is discord. It's free to use, has both text and voice options, and no limit on number of users so far as I've seen - and also you can use it in a web browser without having to download anything. The one thing it doesn't do though is webcams

This sounds good. I would like to do a test on Saturday. Could we try the test about an hour earlier then the usual show time? I have Church on Saturday at the usual show time.

I'll be around on Saturday and Sunday, plus I'm curious to see this rabb.it website is.
