Okay! I really enjoyed getting all of your feedback on my last video, so I thought I'd do another test to see what you guys think.

NOTE: There will be super close up whispering added in the final video, so keep that in mind. :) Lighting will also be actually nice too. (Ignore the shirt on my head, my hair is drying xD)

Questions:

1. As is, is it tingly? What would make it more tingly for you? In what order would you place these triggers from tingliest to least tingly?

2. Am I going too fast? Too slow? Do the movements match the sounds closely enough for you?

3. What other sounds & matching movements would you want added, if any?

4. What else would you like to say about the video?

Please answer quickly as I want to film tonight :) Thank you for your help as always, and I love you all <3

I really don’t like the first part because the sound is not sync and really too loud for after 1:04 all is perfectly as always it’s a masterpiece I’m sure it will be great

softlygaloshes

Could you rewatch and lower your volume in those parts so that you can hear how it would sound that way and tell me what you think? <3

Anonymous

I think the visual and the audio need to be more synced. They where a bit off but with some fine tuning could be really relaxing. I was confused as to when you where just moving your finger around it sounds like hard wood.

Ian Pershing

This is a great idea! I found the pen/finger tracing and the towel wiping most effective. The others did not have the same intentionality to them, and as such it is difficult to convincingly sync the sounds. The previously mentioned triggers were great as is, perhaps the others would be better if slower. You might want to try some softer surfaces for recording the sound overlay. Looking forward to this

I just lower the volume and don’t change nothing it’s just that I’m on speaker and anyway you don’t talk so just lowering it’s good and for the sync I propose you to do the sound yourself like with your other hand off can this way the sound is genuine and sync as well

Ian Pershing

The harder surface sounds work for the pen (it's more precise and unyielding) but touching with the hand/fingers has more give to it, so maybe softer sounds for that.

Ian Pershing

The hard sounds definitely worked. To me it was more a matter of coherence. The harder sounds didn't match some of the visual actions. I do like the harder sounds though. So what we need is some actions that match with it. (Unless it's just me). The visual scratching would work (like you were scratching on wood or something). Also a stylus, like moving windows around on a screen, would work well with the harder sounds. I'll keep thinking

The sync for the pen/finger tracing was off, but I think everything else was good. Maybe it's just me but the sounds for the pen/finger tracing sound like the movement is quicker than the visual if that makes sense.

Ian Pershing

Maybe grabbing movements would be effective too. Either something like gentle pulling like that of cotton candy, or more plucking motions. Either way take your time with it

softlygaloshes

Okay :D So if the syncing was more accurate, then the pencil and finger scratching would work well you mean? How did you feel about the combing?

softlygaloshes

Ooo! Like I could do a sound that sounds like it pulls away from the mic and match that with grabbing visual hand stuff :D

Ian Pershing

Exactly! And that would tend to the smoother sounds that you are so good at (in my opinion). The sounds were tingly. The comb could work, one thing to be mindful of in the final cut is volume transition. I think the comb was 'meh' to me because the sounds right before and after it were a lot more distinct (and louder). But that wouldn't matter as much if it started with the softer sounds and moved into the louder ones (rather than back and forth)

Anonymous

Yes I think they'd work very well. The combing was great, it's been a while since a combing trigger was that effective on me.

softlygaloshes

I agree :D I've been ordering my triggers lately to have the tingles get more intense as it goes. Otherwise you start out with something intense and after that it's just not as good. This is the test, but it'll def be that way in the final video :D

I'm sure it is a very personal thing, but the comb, cloth, then fingers were the ones that gave me the strongest tingles. Also, the slower the actions are, the more tingles I feel. Honestly though, I think they were all great triggers, and would be great with layered voice over top.

Anonymous

The sounds themselves were tingly, but for me personally the cloth was the weaker sound.

Dan Gregory

Love the concept, think it will turn our great. Gotta be a strict realist again and say I don't want someone writing on my face. Love the sound, but not in a face touching video. Agree that the slower the action the more relaxing/tingling it is, you did it very well in the countdown/face brushing video.

Anonymous

There was a bit of a an audio delay but the rest was good.

Anonymous

Noticed a tiny audio delay as well. I'm sure that's an easy fix. Really like the pen and towel wiping. The speed is just fine for me. Facebrushing style vids are always a win with me. As far as the shirt on your head.... :D nothin' wrong with it! Shirt on head vid incoming? (gonna hide now) lol

softlygaloshes

When you all are saying "finger sounds" do you mean just one of or all of the a) face scratching, b) face tapping, c) lotion face dabbing, d) lotion smearing?

To rate them, I would say b) a) c) d). The dabbing sounds for d) was the most unique though. I mean, I really liked them all, but in terms of tingles, b and a were the strongest.

Anonymous

Personally I like the lotion face dabbing and smearing, but that's just me.

Jess W

I enjoyed it, and it was rather tingly for me, as is. I can't really think of anything specific to suggest, but I'm sure I'll love what you come up with.

Ok you have probably all ready filmed this but here is some feedback for future reference. I liked the hard sounds of the pen, finger scratching and the tapping. The speed of the tapping was great, lots of tingles. I liked that visual of you tapping on "lens/face". Just the right amount strength used for the tapping. The combing was wonderful. The face cloth was perfect. Not as many tingles but a great feeling of warmth, calm, comfort and peace. I really loved that. Face touching/brushing is my favorite trigger. I feel the same way for the face fingering/dabbing and lotion application. The video is quite tingly. As for order building the tingles up is generally a good way to go but I like little up's and downs for variety and to not get desensitized from a constant build up. Your speed is good. The movements match the sounds fairly close. The synchronization could be a bit closer but it's all ready really close. I would like to see some face brushing with a soft brush as well included in a face touching video such as this. As I said I love face touching videos, and tapping in general so I'm all ready loving this video. I hope this feedback can be of help in the future. I can't wait to see this one. :D

Probably way too late to the party, but I think the pen moving was a little too fast. Other than that I don't have much to add beyond what has been said already, but the finger movements from the second set onwards were tingly
