I’m sorry for not being super active. Things have been rough for me these days. After a lot of tests and given how long my painful symptoms have been going on, my doctor thinks I might have a small stomach ulcer. Which would explain the awful debilitating pains I get on and off and heavy nausea as well as my problems with eating and keeping food down. Aside from the pregnancy safe medicine he prescribed that takes the edge off the worst of it (but in turn makes me super sleepy so I usually have to pass out when I need to take it) there isn’t a whole lot that can be done. I just need to keep stress to a minimum and watch what I eat to not further aggravate things and let it heal. It sucks.

I’ve also started on a prescription iron supplement for my pregnancy induced anemia. The giveaway to this even before the blood tests has been my bad craving for ice and ice-based food things (like popsicles) which is a type of pica and usually indicates the body needing a vital vitamin or mineral. Since starting them I have a little bit more energy and the cravings are starting to subside but it will take a little while to build up in my system and fully take effect. The anemia has also been contributing to my already not great pregnancy fatigue that came back hard in the last month. And the fatigue has gotten to be bad. I’ll get on my computer and start something only to nod off at my desk minutes later. Or I’ll be in the middle of a stream and suddenly feel the urge to curl up and pass out. Even when running errands like grocery shopping it hits and I have problems. Treating the anemia should help but fatigue is a common major pregnancy symptom especially now that I’m in the third trimester.

Because of my history with birth complications (severe preeclampsia with my first and a pulmonary embolism with my second) my OBGYN has decided to induce birth at around 38 weeks along to try to keep those things from happening and the birth go smoothly. The induction is scheduled for the morning of February 8th 2023 so baby will arrive sometime the 8th or 9th. Unless my health takes another turn and I need to back away from things sooner by early February I will wind down trying to work on regular content and streams so I can focus on preparing for the new arrival. After baby comes I will do what I can to keep you all updated on here, Discord, and Twitter, but I won’t be actively working on content and streaming for likely at least a month. Just wanted to give you all a heads up about that so you’re not taken by surprise when things go quiet.

Virtual baby showers are this week! One on Orki’s Twitch and one on my YouTube channel. The Twitch party will be this evening (Thursday) after 8pm EST/5pm PST ||___HERE___|| ; and the YouTube party will be Friday after 7pm EST/4pm PST ||___HERE___|| . For the party streams we’ll chat, hang out, play Jackbox games, and celebrate the new baby. Two of my cosplay/burlesque friends may be stopping by the Twitch stream this evening too so that should be fun. D might pop in to say hi as well. There will be links to Ko-Fi and Throne if anyone wants to gift anything during the party (but it’s by no means expected I just want to celebrate with you!). Hope to see some of you there!

Can’t make any promises but I will try to get some audios (SFW and NSFW) put out before Christmas. It really hinders on how I’m feeling during the time of day when I’m able to work on audio content. Lately that seems to be when my stomach painfully acts up or I think I’m awake only to feel tired again in less than an hour and needing to go back to sleep. But I will do my best to get some stuff done. I know it’s disappointing to be eager for fresh content if you’ve been here a while and things being incredibly slow. All I can promise is I am doing all I can to work on content despite my current limitations. Please cross your fingers and send positive vibes!

Definitely take the time off, and back away from the productions, we'll be here or come back, you are worth the wait and your health and that of your baby, are far more important. I empathize with your fatigue condition, I have a similar one where it got so bad, I could only drive a mile or so, then I had to pull over to nap or a t least rest, as you know it could make even the simple things like making a grocery run ... trying. Take it a day at a time, a chore or task at a time, We'll be here for you when you are ready to come back, healthy and with a healthy baby delivered. Best to you!
