Update! (Patreon)

TL;DR: Rewards will be coming out for October in a week or two; both projects will have updates.

Hey everyone! Usually I do these sorts of updates before the end of the month so you guys know what to expect with the rewards; I’m a bit late here, but remember that I have a policy of refunding continuing supporters if you’re not happy with the progress in a given month, so please feel free to note me if you don’t like anything and a refund will be arranged!

October was a hard month; work has asked us to work crunch so I only had one Saturday off last month. (The crunch caught me a little by surprise tbh; we work in a remote studio so it’s hard to get a read on the situation in the mothership). I have been steadily working on my patreon though! But progress has been a little slower than usual.

What will be in the rewards?

This morning I have (mostly) finished a stretch of 8 seconds of new animation to MLK. It gets to the end of his rampage action; meaning all the hardest bits left to animate are now done ^^.

After some finishing touches to that, I will return to DGA, and keep chipping away at it. I will probably finish polishing the shot from last month, and then either polish another blocked shot or do a couple of rig swap shots.

I've also recruited someone who is helping to revisit the straps! They have currently edited the modes to fit Andre's new mesh, as well as polished up and added details to them, which will be needed for the new detail benchmark.

They will not be rigged yet, but they may should hopefully be modelled and textured. This will be about two weeks worth of full time work for them. (The straps are both the best and worst decision I've made on this project :o)

When will the rewards be?

~1 or 2 weeks

Because I've had less after work hours in October, it will take me a bit longer to get a proper sized update out. It will not be released before next weekend; and depending on how things go at work, I might need a week more than that. I'll keep you guys posted.

Am I ignoring you?
There are a few unanswered messages in my inbox over the past week or so. I will respond to them over the coming days; my apologies if you are waiting on a response from me! When I get pushed for time, the administration of this page tends to take a hit as I focus the time I do have on making content. So my apologies for delayed communication.
