I did a crossover bonus show (and by that I mean I was a guest on Mike's show) all about Tucker Max. I thought Mike and Craig might know / like Tucker Max but nope. So my apologies for defending him but I was the only person who knew anything about him outside of one appearance on O&A.

WAYL is a great show. If you enjoy this you should check out their show.

Tucker Max..... Now there's a name I've not heard in a long time... A long time....

Tucker Max also wrote a post about how it's smart to get a concealed carry permit because presenting it as a token of respect can help you get out of jams with the police. I literally have been "let go" by cops twice using this method so, I think he might be less full of shit than is opined.

I thought he found later success in starting a ghostwriting business? Guess I'll find out

The definitive book of nervous laughter

I was a fan of Tucker Max before his O&A appearance. It wasn't just that the O&A interview turned up the obvious holes in some of his stories (but that didn't help him) - he just sounded like such a douche.

I only knew him from the O and A interview. It was interesting to hear his full lore. I never found Maddox funny, even back when he supposedly was, so I'm sure even peak Tucker wouldn't have tickled my fancy either. I hav friends who swear that Maddox and Tucker were once hilarious, but I have yet to see any evidence.

Thanks. There was an old podcast that Dick Masterson, Maddox, and Tucker Max all did. It was 4 episodes or something and was pretty terrible.

My friend was obsessed with Tucker based on that movie they made. So I read the book for it... It's eh. Can't wait to hear this disasterpiece lol. Good shit boyos!

The Opie and Anthony interview was a great, dark example of an O&A interview gone wrong. Listening, you can almost feel the studio walls closing in on Tucker as the tension and awkwardness permeates the room, The sad part was most of his material was pure made-up fiction, and it still wasn't funny! How boring do you have to be when your make-believe party life sucks too? Listen to any clip of Tucker Max on a radio show being interviewed and you'll see no trace of the cocky stuff he talked up, just an awkward bro fumbling words, talking about some chick he totally had sex with in the same slowly paced tone you'd hear from a felon trying to keep track of the poorly thought-out alibi he's making up for a visit from the police.

I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell is one of the worst things I’ve ever read. Obviously fake frat boy stories. I remember being shocked when I saw it was being made into a movie. Who read that pos and thought “this needs a visual component.”
