As I predicted a couple of months ago, this whole Dabbler thing has jumped the shark. The cash grab has peaked, the credibility of the WATP format is shot. The refusal of people like Karl and Shuli to adequately compensate or even give recognition for all the stolen free material is a blight. The acceptance of non-entities into the movement as part of the cash grab is a blight. Cumia anointing himself as 'someone you don't fuck around with' then getting bulliled by StutJo on Twitter is a blight. However, the specific moment it jumped the shark was when Shuli staged that fake attack in a crowded bar, surrounded by security and other comics, yet nobody confronted, got a photo of, captured on video or even recorded audio of. The fact that we know Karl won't call out BS if there's a chance of 7 more patrons is what killed it for me. Shuli going from universally mocked and ignored, to a credible critic of Stuttering John (aided and abetted by WATP and some "pick-me" 50something moderators on DabblersAnonymous, brings an end to my paid membership after 2 short months. I can no longer provide finance to an organisation that let Shuli walk all over them without a word of criticism. I thank you for the StutJo audiobook, but now there's nothing left for me here. I've paid my dues and all that remains is for me to pop over to tell u/DerekfromCanogaPark how much he sucks for exploiting lonely boomers for a few bucks for Uncle Rico.
