After missing a week due to some cold or something, I'm back with the Drew & Mike Show. We start off talking about a very awkward exchange between Bill Maher and Bella Thorne. Bill thinks it's okay to joke about sex change operations. Uh oh! That can't be tolerated!

Then we check in on Marc Maron who recently released a show from over 11 years ago because Gallagher passed away. This interview is one of the most heated and hilarious exchanges I've ever heard. Marc is such as asshole that he almost makes Gallagher look like the good guy. It's wild.

The Coddling of the American Mind is what Karl is referring to speaking about Bella Hadid and Bill Maher. Great book.

“Former bad-boy edgy comedian who has learned his lesson” is the worst sort of comic these days, “In the end, everyone was right about me. I really didn’t have anything to say. Thank you to all those who set me straight and helped me realize I was punching down when I should have been punching up." The idea is that they've "matured" when really, they've just seen which way the wind is blowing and know who they can still be a dick to and who is off-limits, that would get them into trouble.

Not related, but did anyone see Karl embarrass himself on that crappy Hughzey show the other day ? One of the losers on there told a story about getting caught with porn in his bag by security at a music store. It was the same story JD told in 2007. It's been discussed multiple times since by Howard, but Karl didn't say anything. He clearly knows the story, but didn't challenge him. He also shared a riveting anecdote about SJ calling in all the time to speak to Gary, when John was in LA. Just thought that was a bit weird and the double standard is why WATP is now shit. Thanks all.

Chances are that story really happened to the guy not JD. That's how they did the show stories would be assigned to who ever would get the best response.

Do you have any actual evidence of that happening, or is it just something in-the-know fans said? You'd think the guy would say they stole his story and gave it to JD, as that would be a lot more interesting than just telling the same story again.
