MOOSE INTERVIEW NOTES (Originally aired on In The Weeds - February 21, 2024) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zo2bCQE-Wxk

- On Scott D'Amore's removal as TNA President, Moose said he was initially shocked, angry and sad, but his time in the NFL makes him well suited to understand the situation, equating D'Amore's departure with a head coach being fired

- In his rookie year in the NFL, Moose said his head coach had promised him many things, but that coach was fired, but he learned to put faith in the General Manager and trust that the best decisions for the company are being made.

- Moose says his relationship with Scott isn't going to change, that Scott will always be a mentor, coach and big brother to him even though they aren't working together now.

- Moose adds that Scott put together a roster that will see out his vision, and now with Anthony (Cicone) and Len (Asper), they have to put their trust in them to carry the torch.

- On the vibe backstage, Moose says the majority of the crew is ready to go to work and put on a great show.

- When asked about the letter sent to Anthem regarding Scott D'Amore's dismissal, Moose says he saw the letter and calls it a last-ditch effort to bring Scott back.

- On the formation of The System in TNA with Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers, Moose mentions that he and Edwards were friends and foes, but they realized they're better as friends, and the relationship with Myers made sense to pair everyone together. He calls it the strongest faction in TNA history, and proof is that he's TNA World Champion.

- On DeAngelo Williams, who is also a member of the System, Moose says he can't speak for Williams, but he'd love to have him back in the ring.

- Moose calls DeAngelo Williams strong willed and that he said he was "one and done" after their match at Slammiversary 2017, but Moose hopes he has a change of heart and he thinks that DeAngelo Williams started the trend of celebrities jumping in the ring and that Williams had the greatest celebrity debut match in pro wrestling.

- Moose says he personally invited DeAngelo Williams to appear at TNA Hard To Kill, and compared Williams to the System's version of Dennis Rodman to the nWo, putting over all the projects Williams works on but that Williams comes around whenever he's available.

- On his "No Surrender" World Title match against Alex Shelley this Friday at TNA No Surrender, Moose says he told the rest of The System that under no circumstance are they throwing in the towel, but he can't say the same for Shelley.

- Moose says he's been in more gimmick matches than anybody else in TNA, and this No Surrender match is another gimmick match.

- Moose says there will be blood in their match on Friday.

- On Nic Nemeth joining TNA, Moose calls him a great addition to the roster and family, but it's unfortunate that he's picked Moose to make an impact against and he'll retaliate when the time is right.

- Moose compliments KUSHIDA, calling him the youngest looking old wrestler he's ever seen in his life.

- On tagging with KUSHIDA back in 2016, Moose remembers KUSHIDA on his shoulders while they did Moose's entrance, that they had fun, and wrestling against him now was different due to Moose's new attitude, size and shape, but that KUSHIDA didn't stand a chance against him.

- Moose continues to live in the now and that he has a 5-year contract with TNA that he plans on fulfilling while building TNA to bigger and better things.

- Moose still has the white TNA belt that he used on TV during 2020, but the current belt is new and he wants people to see it. If he's a champion for another 6-12 more months, he might bring back the old white belt.
