Rumor killer on a rule in CMLL/AEW partnership (Patreon)

AEW is working with CMLL, but there are some misconceptions regarding their partnership.

It was reported on Friday that a part of the deal between CMLL and AEW is "that on any television show that their talent appears on, no other Mexican wrestlers can appear. It doesn’t matter if they work for AAA or not, or did in the past, it’s no other Mexican wrestlers can appear."

However, AEW sources claim that is outright false. They pointed to Komander appearing on the January 31 episode of AEW Dynamite when the group from CMLL appeared. Beyond that, Penta was also scheduled to appear on AEW programming this week, but ended up running into travel issues.

It was stated to Fightful that CMLL talent is not supposed to be booked in angles or matches with AAA talent.
