Fightful Select caught up with TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace after her surprising appearance in the 2024 WWE Royal Rumble.

Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp spoke with the Pro Wrestling Veteran on how her appearance in the WWE came to be.

Jordynne told us she was in disbelief and never thought anything like what happened was possible.

Jordynne said that many people were surprised to see her backstage on Saturday.

She said she knew she had a huge responsibility for possibly changing the tide of wrestling and how people perceive crossovers.

She knew she had to maximize each moment and represent TNA because she wanted fans to tune in, as it was a live ad for their show on Thursdays.

As far as learning about being in the Royal Rumble. Jordynne said that Scott D’Amore called her, but he never calls. She said that she almost did not answer because Jordynne thought she might have done something that got her in trouble.

Jordynne said Scott asked her about possibly being in the Royal Rumble. She said she did not believe it would happen until she got her flight booked to Orlando.

She mentioned she flew out and went through medical testing. She mentioned that WWE asked if she wanted to go home after rehearsals. Jordynne said she did not need to and just needed time for herself. She said she stayed at a hotel for the surprise talent that would be at the show.

She told Sean that Chelsea Green said she was mad at her for not telling her that she was in the Rumble ahead of time. She also said that she did not tell Trinity and that they were texting during the week. Jordynne said Trinity was surprised to see her at the Performace Center and was confused about what was happening.

Jordynne said when she showed up at the rehearsals for the Royal Rumble, she never told anyone she would be there. Jodynne said people at rehearsals congratulated her on signing with WWE, but she would tell them she was with TNA,  and they were confused and astonished that it happened.

She said that on Saturday, many people were surprised she was backstage.

Sean joked that he thought she made her debut at WWE Great Balls of Fire, and Grace told him not to bring that up.

Sean mentioned he sent emojis and asked her what her reaction to it. She explained that she had seen it and was surprised that the secret had not been revealed earlier.

Jordynne said she thought she performed very well and wanted to represent TNA. Jordynne said she was so excited when they returned to their original name. She said now they can embrace who they truly are.

Sean asked what it was that got Jordynne to re-sign with TNA. Jordynne said, “Everything I am today is because of TNA.” She would add that TNA believed in her and helped her gain self-confidence. She spoke about the atmosphere being great as well.

She said she would love to be the longest-reigning Knockouts Champion. She also wants to continue to represent the company. She wants to get more eyes on the product, and if a relationship with the WWE does that, then she would love to represent TNA on WWE.

Jordynne says she has not heard any more about a potential WWE and TNA relationship, but she has a good gut feeling about it.

She said she would like to see the six-sided ring return for special occasions like Slammiversary or Bound for Glory. She said they

She also mentioned that she would love to see the return of the Elevation X match.

Jordynne mentioned seeing Petey Williams and meeting Rhea Ripley for the first time. Jordynee also said she got to see WWE Referee Daphanie LaShaunn (Aja Smith Perera), who she once wrestled against on the Georgia Indies, and mentioned meeting CM Punk backstage. She would add that she believes he was filming a documentary.

Seeing Jordynne show up got the biggest pop out of me. She looked like she belonged there, she mingled with some top stars, acknowledged her history with Naomi/Trinity and got put over huge on commentary. I hope it leads to more collabs.

Given how Jordynne was treated and how Triple H talked about her, it seems like a matter of when, not if, she ends up in the WWE.
