William Regal has been back in the fold with WWE and NXT for over a year after leaving AEW just under 9 months into his tenure. However, as a part of his departure from All Elite Wrestling, he was unable to appear as an on-screen character for WWE.

However, that may be about to change. Fightful Select's Corey Brennan has learned that Regal's return to WWE TV -- specifically within the NXT brand -- have been discussed of late. 

Regal last appeared on WWE television well over two years ago.
