- We’ve heard from indie promoters that Mustafa Ali’s impact on ticket sales for some of his first events are the most they’ve seen for a WWE departure in years.

- For those asking about Mike Mansury as a potential replacement as Kevin Dunn, we’ve confirmed Wrestling Observer’s report that Mansury is under a multi-year agreement with All Elite Wrestling.

- We’re told that WWE and Panini have continued their relationship, and it appears it will continue through the duration of their regularly scheduled deal.

Emily Jaye

Fightful Select had the opportunity to catch up with Indy Wrestler Emily Jaye for an exclusive interview at WrestleCade  ahead of her ROH debut

Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp noted how Emily began wrestling last year. Sean asked Emily who was a wrestler she had learned the most from when she started on the independent scene. Emily said Renee Michelle was the wrestler who taught her the most.

Emily says Renee asked before they wrestled if she had ever called a match. She says she did not but told Renee, “Tell me what I need to do, and we’re going to make it work.” Emily mentioned how Renee kicked so hard.

Emily stated that she trained at Flatbacks, owned by AEW’s Shawn Spears and former NXT Tag Team Champion Tyler Breeze. Emily says she does stay in contact with both Spears and Breeze. Emily mentions they help her with questions about certain bookings, wrestlers, matches, and promos. Emily says she is grateful for them and very happy she trained there.

She told us about her friendship with Heath Slater. She calls Heath her “Dad” and says he is the best.

Sean mentioned to Emily how her mom is very supportive of her wrestling. Emily told us a story about when she was wrestling in North Carolina, and the crowd was dead. Emily said her Mom was the loudest person and got in Emily’s opponent's face.

From a character standpoint, Sean asked Emily how she continues to develop. Emily told Fightful that it’s important to her continuously to evolve. She said, "Looking presentable by having nice gear and a nice look is almost as important as the actual wrestling.”

When asked what her favorite part of being in the ring was, Emily told Fightful, “Literally the whole damn thing.” She said this is something she has wanted to do since childhood.

Sean asked Emily for advice on how he could beat Shazza McKenzie. Emily told Sean, “He was going to get his ass kicked.” That definitely didn't happen.

I wondered if Tony Schiavone's mention of Mike Mansury on AEW Collision/Battle of the Belts was the first mention of Mansury's name on air at AEW.

In regards to the WWE/Panini deal. I did see the boxes of cards for redemptions for each wrestler at the PC this past week for NXT. It was right at the reception desk, you could see it from the window.
