Another promising New Japan star’s contract is up this month.

Fightful Select has learned that Gabe Kidd’s contract with NJPW is set to be up at some point in January. Kidd has quickly ascended in New Japan as a part of the Bullet Clubs War Dogs stable.

Kidd has been with NJPW for the last four years, debuting in January of 2020. He’s also been a Rev Pro regular, both in 2019 and in the past couple of years. Kidd recently had a highly praised match at RevPro with soon-to-be AEW talent Will Ospreay.

The 26-year old Kidd has been wrestling since 2011, and wrestled under a mask at that time to conceal his age. During his NJPW run, he’s won the Strong Openweight Tag Team Championship with another potential free agent in Alex Coughlin.

Kidd is planned for the 5 on 5 cage match, which is actually after his contract is set to expire.

I asked him about this yesterday and Sean said “stay tuned”. He didn’t make me wait long. Lol
