Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland are FINALLY set to have their match over a year after the team split.

Fightful Select had heard earlier this year that there was a tentative idea for the two to face each other in the summer when they teamed together in the Blind Eliminator Tag Team tournament. A plan for the two to end up working with each other at World’s End was finalized by after Full Gear. They'll finally get that match at Worlds End.

Originally, Swerve and Hangman Page were to continue their feud, however, after they had their Full Gear match, an obvious pivot was made. The idea was then put forth to help put a bow on the long awaited Swerve and Lee match by also integrating Ring of Honor and Shane Taylor. Page and Swerve were not planned for a third match at Worlds End however.

Interested to know what the original idea was before they made the pivot and what caused it

No idea the original plan but I believe they knew they couldn't top the full gear match so booking an immediate rematch would have been mistake
