You can name all the talented women you like. The issue with the AEW women's division is not, and has never been, a lack of talented women. But it's gonna be pretty damn hard for that division to boost its perception so long as it's restricted to three matches and maybe an angle or two across five hours of weekly television. It's also hard for me to imagine Mercedes walking into a company where the women's division as a whole gets only slightly more care and attention than the Women's Tag Team titles did when she felt compelled to walk out of WWE. I don't doubt she's had talks with Tony, but I suspect it's a case of using those talks to leverage the best deal she can out of TKO.
