Zoey Stark Talks Cameraman Stu's Fall, ONLINE REPORTS, Trish (Patreon)

Fightful Select had the chance to catch up with WWE Superstar Zoey Stark for an exclusive interview ahead of her upcoming match-up against WWE World Champion Rhea Ripley at WWE Survivor Series.

Fightful’s Jeremy Lambert asked Zoey Stark about the recent report regarding the rave reviews she has received for her work. She said it was great getting the validation. Zoey told us she wanted to be a WWE Superstar when growing up, and she never thought she would get recognition from WWE leadership.

Jeremy asked Zoey about the viral moment at WWE Crown Jewel where Zoey accidentally knocked down WWE Cameraman Stu during the match against Rhea Ripley, Shayna Baszler, Nia Jax, and Raquel Rodriguez. Zoey said she only knew about it after she made it backstage. Stu told her that he got wrapped up in the cords and fell. Stu is the Cameraman whom John Cena referred to on-screen in the past.

Zoey would tell us about another viral moment where WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus accidentally hit her when throwing a chair during her Falls-Count-Anywhere match against Becky Lynch from the August 28th episode of Raw. Zoey said that Trish only knew it after the match. Zoey said that was something that could not have been planned, and if it was, there’s no way it would have worked as well as it did.

The former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion said she felt great about their match. Zoey said it was her first main event on Raw, and it was against Becky Lynch. Zoey said she never would have thought she would have that opportunity.

Zoey told us the most significant piece of advice that she received working with Trish was to find “Your Why.” Trish would tell her to discover why you’re doing this in a storyline or acting in a certain way. Zoey says she stays in contact with her, and Trish always responds quickly.

Jeremy would ask Zoey why she has been in so many ladder matches. Zoey laughed and said she did not know why she had been in so many ladder matches but would have to ask Triple H about that.

Zoey said she loves performing in ladder matches because they are fun and it allows her to do some crazy spots to try to make a memorable moment. Zoey would mention the Code Red spot at Money in the Bank was Zelina Vega’s idea.

When speaking about the Iron Survivor match, which is returning to NXT Deadline, Zoey said the match was a lot of fun because she likes to be in the ring the entire time. She would advise future competitors to work on their cardio because it will test you to the limit.

Jeremy brought up her past with IYO SKY (Io Shirai) and asked how she would respond if IYO were to ask her to join Damage CTRL. Zoey says she likes what she is doing on Raw and would have to turn her down respectfully. Zoey says back when they were in NXT, IYO did not care for her and doesn’t know why it would change now. Zoey did say that she loves Sushi, referring to a segment she had with IYO in NXT.

Zoey confirmed that she enjoys pineapple on pizza. She also says she enjoys having an over-easy egg on a burger.

Jeremy wrapped up the interview by asking Zoey what fans could expect to see in her match against Rhea Ripley. Zoey says you can expect a hard-hitting match between her and Rhea.

Also, Zoey’s cat, Sly, was on-screen for a few minutes.
