Fightful’s Iridian Fierro spoke with JCW Champion Jordan Oliver.

Iridian mentions to Jordan that she first saw him wrestle at an AAW show two years ago and wonders if he thought he would be where he is today. Jordan nodded yes and said if you put a side-by-side photo from two years ago, you would say who is this guy. Oliver added that he has confidence in himself but believes he was born to be a wrestler. He said he feels like he is in place and says Indy Wrestling has been a blessing.

Jordan says that he could be wrestling on TV or something else, but what he is doing is professional wrestling. He says he loves wrestling in Bars and VFWs.

Jordan told us the weirdest place he wrestled at was at Tony Deppen’s Brewery; the matches were on a mat instead of a ring. Jordan said he had four matches that day. Jordan said that he and IMPACT Wrestling’s Mike Bailey played Jenga between each match.

Iridian asked Jordan what is something that Alex Shelley has taught him. He said Shelley taught him and Nick Wayne how to control the room and also mentioned Shelley told them to take their time.

Oliver was asked if he had his eye on any company. He said he has not but will sign anywhere if he can get to work with his “little brother,” Nick Wayne. Oliver said his goal is to work full-time at NJPW. Oliver would love to tag with Nick Wayne, too.

He spoke about making his debut in NJPW and how wrestling Desperado was his dream come true. Oliver said his goal is to wrestle in the Best of the Super Juniors. Oliver said his goal in pro wrestling is to be the best of all time.

Oliver said, “Indy events have been weird.” Because he used to wrestle in front of 200 or so people, and now he’s wrestling in front of 500. However, the streaming numbers are down. He thinks people want to go out now instead of watching at home.

Jordan mentioned how he would like the backstage culture to be in Pro Wrestling. He said he would like to see more honesty. He said when wrestlers would ask a question to another person, “How their match was?” instead of someone saying fine when they didn’t have any idea.

He said Future and J. Cole are his favorite music artists.

I’m very proud to have been watching Jordan Oliver grow these last few years. His potential is unmatched, save for maybe Nick Wayne. Pair them together anywhere and they’ll be an unstoppable force.

I have occasionally wondered what had happened with Yuka Sakazaki, so thank you for clearing that up.
