Titus O'Neil On Batista, Football, The Slide, NIL, Commentary (Patreon)

WWE Hall of Famer and Global Ambassador Titus O’Neil joined Fightful Select for an exclusive interview. Fightful’s Jeremy Lambert discussed numerous topics with the former WWE Tag Team and 24/7 Champion.

Titus told Fightful he enjoyed hanging out with his friend and former WWE Superstar Batista at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers game. Titus said Batista is not much of a Football fan. He said Batista was there to excite the crowd at Raymond James Stadium against the Atlanta Falcons. Titus mentioned he was also there to excite the fans at the Buccaneers' first home game against the Chicago Bears this season. Titus said that Batista is part of the family and mentioned that even though it’s been well documented, Batista was the one who helped him get into Wrestling.

Jeremy asked Titus “if he had four more downs in him” regarding playing more American Football. Titus said, “he does, but they might not be very good.”

Titus said being a WWE wrestler is more challenging than playing football. Titus gave examples of what it was like as a WWE Superstar on the road.

Titus said we [WWE] greatly respect all athletes, and their NIL program is doing great. Titus said having Logan Paul and Bad Bunny helps bring more people to the product. Titus mentioned he’s excited to see what Jade Cargill does with the company.

Titus mentioned that his slide from the Greatest Royal Rumble is considered one of the moments that will be played regularly. Titus says his message is the same wherever he does speeches, whether at a college, business, meetings, etc.: "No matter who you contact with, love them and respect them.” Titus said.

When asked about doing commentary at WrestleMania. He enjoyed it; Titus says he wants commentary but understands he has much to do if that is the case. Titus spoke about playing in a Johnsonville charity cornhole tournament for the challenge at South Carolina. He said he teamed with his former college teammate Javon Kearse. He said they lost but said $10,000 was donated.

The last question Titus was asked is if Titus Worldwide was brought back, who would he have in it? He mentioned Chad Gable but said Gable has his own thing going on. Titus added that he would put Akira Tozawa in it. Titus also said he would take Jade Cargill, Carmelo Hayes, and Trick Williamsas as part of Titus Worldwide.
