Fightful spoke to Sami Callihan now that he's a free agent.

Sami said that he hasn't been a free agent in a long time because of WWE, Lucha Underground, IMPACT and Dragon Gate having him under contract. He fought very hard to get a lot of talent out of a really restrictive LU contracts.

He said that originally his IMPACT  ontract was supposed to be up December 30, 2022. However, his leg injury led to him having time tacked on. He says that things came down to the wire and a lot of people didn't even know his contract was coming up. He said that he left on good terms, and that there's always a possibility he returns to IMPACT, as he hasn't burned bridges anywhere. He said the two sides were too far apart on terms and a deal was not reached.

Callihan is open to anything, from writing, producing, or wrestling from a variety of companies. He feels that his experience in all facets of REVOLVER have helped him develop a skill set to where he knows how to do just about anything.

Callihan admitted that his leg injury hampered him way more than he anticipated, and he's actively getting his legs underneath him and back in shape. He feels like he should have taken more time off after the injury, but missed pro wrestling so much.

He spoke very highly of Steve Maclin and Jake Crist as well.

The full interview drops on Tuesday, where you will have full context for aggregation purposes.
