That expanded pay per view schedule has been discussed more internally by All Elite Wrestling.

Sources within AEW informed Fightful Select last week that a December PPV was being discussed by the brand. While solid details are still few and far between, we’ll share what we’ve heard thus far. To make it clear – we don’t know for sure if it will be ROH or AEW branded, as Final Battle has been a staple of ROH.

Within the AEW roster, it was rumored that the show could take place on the last weekend of the year, rumored for either Friday, December 29 or Saturday, December 30. Those that we heard from believe the show is being planned for New York City, though we aren’t sure of a venue. Madison Square Garden would likely be out of the question, considering WWE runs there December 26, and has a hold on promoting shows for competitors.

Since posting this, we've learned that recently Bodyslam.net had previously posted about a December PPV on the slate

They planning to turn Winter is Coming into a PPV?

WiC is usually in early December, and it's looking like the Montreal debut might be this year's Winter Is Coming shows.

WWE having a hold like that is just as shitty as the one Nintendo had when it came to certain third party games on NES, you can't change my mind.

They could always run the Prudential Center, its just outside of new york, its just a meh kinda venue. I was there for full gear. Venue has lots of weird rules for shows.
