Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Sean Waltman [X-Pac/1-2-3 Kid] joined Fightful Select for an exclusive interview.

Waltman joined Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp to promote his upcoming live show “An Afternoon with Kevin Nash and Sean Waltman.” The show will take place on November 25th in Rosemont, Illinois, before WWE’s Survivor Series, which will emanate just miles down the road at the All-State Arena that evening.

Waltman says he does not get to see Kevin Nash as much as he used to. Waltman said he, Kevin, and the late Scott Hall would do appearances together, but it’s been rare since Scott's passing. Waltman said Nash is his best friend and misses being around him.

Sean said to Waltman that he would always try and catch him and Nash on any podcasts that they do. Sean would ask Waltman if he has seen any of the back and forth between Nash and WWE’s L.A. Knight. Waltman responded, “Of course I have. Kevin has his opinion, but I am an L.A. Knight fan. I like the guy.”

Waltman would add that he and Nash don’t have the same opinion on everything and believe it’s good for people to have different views. Sean told Waltman that Nash is smart about getting buzz for his show. Waltman laughed and said he chuckled the other day because Kevin went hard on CM Punk, and the next time he did a show, Kevin said he had no problem with Punk and said that stuff to get clicks.

Sean asked the former DX member about the night he joined DX in 1998. Sean mentioned to Waltman how he and Hogan made negative public comments about each other and wondered how their next interaction went down.

Waltman said it went fine and that he saw Hogan in Tampa at a concert and said he and Hogan talked. Waltman mentioned to Hogan that Paul [Triple H] was interested in working with Hogan at WrestleMania and that Hogan was interested, but nothing ever came regarding that matchup.

Waltman said shortly after Hall and Nash kicked Hogan out of the NWO. He got to work a great match when he teamed up with Hall and Nash to face Kane, The Undertaker, and The Rock. Waltman mentioned that even though his feud with Kane died down, people still wanted to see Kane kill him. Waltman said every night, they would get a great pop.

Waltman said some higher-ups in WWE did not want him in the WWE’s version of NWO. Waltman mentioned that Hogan was out of the NWO and that he was always good at filling in spots. Waltman said that he did the same with DX after Shawn Michaels left.

Waltman said he is a fan of Damian Priest and said that Priest would look good in a NWO or DX shirt.

Sean would ask Waltman about his thoughts on The Bullet Club. Waltman noted when it started, he thought it was great. Waltman said he is flattered by it, but it does not take any money from his pocket. Waltman was about his reaction to BWO and thought it was funny. Waltman said when someone is parodying you, it means you did something right.

Waltman said he thinks the new LWO is better than ever. He said LWO is pushed and treated seriously. Waltman thinks WCW could have done a better job with it and would add that he’s very proud of how both groups he was in are still regarded today. Waltman said how people still do the “suck it” hand gesture.

The two talked about his time in TNA and working in the X Division. He mentioned getting to work with AJ Styles for the first time and how he got to help others there. Waltman said he wishes he could have passed on more knowledge to others instead of being so messed up [referring to his past].

Waltman would mention that the Tag-Team match where he teamed with Razor Ramon [Scott Hall] and faced Shawn Michaels and Diesel [Kevin Nash] on WWF Action Zone is one of his top three matches of all time. He said it was one of the best tag-team matches ever. Waltman said he wrestled three times that night. Waltman said it was an unconventional match.

Sean asked Waltman what being in his first video game was like. Waltman mentioned that he was never a big video game fan. He also noted that he's never played as himself when he has played a wrestling game.

The one-time WWF Lightweight Champion said during his WCW days, he once got a check for $40,000.00 for video game royalties and said he was not expecting it because he thought it was part of his contract.

The interview ended with Fightful plugging the show in November.

*Also, the match from Action Zone they were referring to is from the October 30th, 1994 episode.
