This week, Salina De La Renta of MLW joined The Wrestling Perspective Podcast with Dennis Farrell and Lars Frederiksen. Salina talked to Fightful about her past career in wrestling and transitioning into a backstage role.

Salina discusses her enjoyment of the managerial role and how she took time off to focus on school but is now back with MLW.

Salina said when she got into wrestling, all she did was wrestling, and what helped her career take off was when she broke her leg. MLW gave her the chance to manage the entire Spanish division. Salina says in the first few episodes of MLW when you see her with a cane. She says it was not for her character, but she needed it so she could walk.

She says she doesn’t miss wrestling; she prefers to be signing people. She said that she will be graduating from Full Sail University in November.

Salina said it was not a hard transition to stop wrestling because it was hard for her to learn how to wrestle. She was tired of going through tables and getting hit in the face, day and night. Salina said, “But for me to be, quite frankly, a bitch that's natural, and I enjoy it.” She said she had no bad blood when she left the company in 2021. She mentioned that she called MLW and said she wanted to return home, which was as simple as that.

When asked if she felt about leaving a legacy, Salina said she knew she left a legacy at MLW because when you think about MLW, you think about her. Salina added that “she is back and is taking over.”

Salina says she did not watch Wrestling growing up. She said her first introduction to the business was when she studied Reality TV in college and came across WWE Total Divas.

When asked if she knew when she made it in the industry, Salina said LA Park told her she did. She said that her Social Media started growing, and Sports Illustrated interviewed her.

When asked what she plans to do next, Salina says she wants to own a “Pro Wrestling Circus.” She has 17 pets; 11 are hers, and the others she fosters.

Salina said one thing she noticed that was different since she returned was the locker room. She said she would run a company like Court Bauer runs MLW if she were to run a company. She says she will always enjoy producing and consulting. She said Court is easy to work with and jokingly said, “Konnan is not easy to work with because he won’t shut the %^&* up.”

Salina spoke about her religious upbringing and plugged upcoming MLW events.

I can't tell if you're being facetious, but no. He was doing WPP before the show moved to Fightful. - Rob

Salina De La Renta was made for pro wrestling, so I'm really glad she's not given up on the industry just yet!
