Do we see a law suit happening?

B. Joseph

I'd think Punk wouldn't want that scrutiny. Cabana is one thing. The billionaire co-owner of 2 sports teams plus AEW would probably have better lawyers. Not to mention, the discovery phase of a trial would definitely include everything from his entire time there, including what truly happened with Brawl Out. Then again, from everything we've seen, he thinks he's the hero in this story so who the heck knows.

Scott George

People must be relieved he's gone and can travel freely from show to show without worrying about that guy. So, does Punk not get any money left on his deal since he was fired?

David

that's a good question. i would think the "for cause" part would mean no.

Joseph Bright

No, which is why the statement from AEW went out of its way to say he was fired “for cause.” AEW’s legal team wouldn’t have signed off on that unless they knew they had enough evidence to beat any future legal action for breach of contract.

Vicki Langteau

When someone is fired with cause...you usually don't get paid. Essentially it means YOU did something to cause them to fire you. CM going after Perry and potentially his boss was more than enough. If AEWs legal team suggested this I'm guessing it's iron clad.
