Tempest of WrestleTalk.com represented Fightful Select at AEW All In Media Day, and he had the opportunity to catch up with AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy. Tempest asked Cassidy about how he feels about maybe wrestling at the biggest show ever. Orange told Fightful that he doesn’t think about it, just goes out and does what he needs to do.
Cassidy would note that if he thought about it too much or too long, he would “kind of get lost.” Cassidy says it’s incredible that this is their first time in the United Kingdom and that they will be wrestling in front of a crowd of 80,000 people. He says the UK crowd has been waiting for AEW and said they have good chants.
Tempest would ask Cassidy about his opponent from Forbidden Door. Cassidy was not sure if we were aware of it, but he told us that Will Ospreay is really good.
Cassidy said the opportunity came up to wrestle Ospreay. Cassidy was dealing with a shoulder injury at the time but felt he had something to prove with the Ospreay match because people said Ospreay was being “wasted” against him.
Since Sean Ross Sapp could not make the flight, he did have one question he wanted Tempest to ask Orange Cassidy. It was about Cassidy being in a video with a fish. Cassidy said, “no comment.” He would add that Sean could ask him that question, but it was not something Tempest should be responsible for.
Orange Cassidy says it is awkward that he and Kris Statlander have titles, and The Best Friends don’t. Cassidy says there is pressure on both of them, and they lean on each other.
Tempest's last question to Orange Cassidy was about his time in Chikara and what it was like wrestling as two different characters with different styles. Cassidy told Tempest “that you’re going to be disappointed with this answer, but I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
