Dakota Kai and IYO talk about return, Damage CTRL, WBC, More (Patreon)

FightfulSelect’s Sean Ross Sapp caught up with DamageCTRL’s Dakota Kai and IYO SKY at WrestleMania Media Day in a lost interview before Dakota's injury

Sean mentioned to IYO that at this time last year, we did not know where exactly IYO’s career was going in WWE. Did she know if it was to stay in the WWE or return home to Japan? IYO said that she is living her exact dream as she wanted to wrestle at WRESTLEMANIA.

Sean would then ask Dakota Kai about her emotions about returning to the company because other potential companies wanted her. Dakota mentioned that it was not Triple H who contacted her, but Bayley called.

Dakota talked about how Bayley had an idea for a stable a few years ago and mentioned it dated back as far back as the first Mae Young Classic in 2017.

They talked about it some before SummerSlam, and Bayley told her about the stable again, but  Dakota wished her well and added that’s when Triple H came into play. Triple H called her and wanted to bring her back to the company. She asked Triple H, “when?” and he responded, “tomorrow.” Dakota said, “the journey has been crazy.”

IYO talked about the World Baseball Classic; IYO was thrilled with Japan winning the tournament. She mentioned taking a picture with Los Angeles Angels Star Shohei Ohtani two days before Japan won the championship. IYO says she is now a big fan of baseball.

IYO said the Raw Women’s Championship title is one of her other goals. When asked if they could add one person to DamageCTRL, who would be both IYO and Dakota, they said Piper Niven would be their choice.
