Mio Momono Interview Notes

Fightful's Scott Edwards had the chance to interview Marvelous' Mio Momono following her AAAW Championship win and competing in the West Coast Pro Queen of Indies Tournament. Among the topics discussed include finally winning the AAAW Championship, how much she enjoys competing in America, and having a rematch with Masha Slamovich down the road.

When talking about winning the AAAW Championship at the Marvelous anniversary show earlier this year, Momono explained that it was a moment where she finally felt she had made it, saying "it was a feeling of all my efforts being rewarded."

Momono, who made her pro wrestling debut in America, talked about how she has a strong feeling when getting to compete. She appreciates the different style that America brings as we saw with her three victories at Queen of Indies earlier this year.

Finally, Mio Momono is interested in a rematch with Masha Slamovich but with a twist. At the time of the interview, Slamovich held seven championships before losing her GCW World Championship. Momono likes the idea of putting every title on the line in a rematch to see who could walk away with all the gold!

Make sure to check out the remainder of the Mio Momono interview over on Fightful at 11:30 AM EST as she discusses what new country she'd like to wrestle in next, getting through the many roadblocks in her career, and so much more!

Jeff Brown

I've heard that he was just supposed to do the main event. But, I don't know for sure. He did post on social media that he took a bad fall at his home and had a pic that showed a bad black eye. But, he did say he was going to be there.
