- We’ve been able to confirm that Delirious is now working on the IMPACT creative team, as reported by PWInsider.

- In addition to the previously announced date that Carlito withdrew from, he also pulled from a show in Lexington as well. We've confirmed that he and WWE have had talks of late. If hired, he'd be the first main roster hire of 2023.

- Fightful has been told that CM Punk pushed to wrestle on the first Collision. He’s never wrestled in the United Center, and wanted to be able to do that.

- The movie Charlotte Flair is filming is going on right now, which makes it an easy trip from Louisville to Lexington for Friday’s Smackdown. We're told she's been getting some training in as well.

- Fightful will be producing more shorts for our channels imminently.

Darius Carter

Darius Carter was a guest on Fightful Overbooked's In The Weed's Podcast with Joel Pearl and Tru Heel Heat's SP3. They spoke on numerous topics.

Darius told Fightful the people who had influenced his career. The first person he mentioned was Ric Flair. Darius said Flair had it all for him, whether in the ring, the suits, the limousines, the women, etc. Flair was the one who got his attention the most, and he added Flair had "style, grace, and handsome face." Flair could be mean, brutal, and vicious, which is why Flair was his inspiration.

Darius said William Regal and Billy Robinson were two people he aspired to be. He said he still watches his matches. Darius said he wanted intensity and grit in storylines like Billy Robinson. Darius also mentioned that the two guys could have a big match and never had to touch each other. Darius said it is still done today but is less common.

Darius talked about the big WrestleMania Weekend he had by winning the Scramble match at GCW's For the Culture event. Tru Heel Heat's SP3 indicated many people wanted to know more about him after that match. Darius said that there were two points to make about it. He said it was great that he was there, but he was there to win. Darius said it wasn't about the pay but about getting the win, getting people to know about him, and presenting it to the fans.

Darius noted that this was not his first appearance with GCW. He talked about his reception in Faye Jackson's Grey Sweatpants Battle Royal in 2021. Darius said it was good for him. He received opportunities and bookings because of it. He said he wore a three-piece suit in 95-degree weather. Darius said, "If I come out in anything else, that's not Darius Carter."

Darius Carter said his focus is on improving himself and being the best version of Darius Carter that he can be.

Darius then told us why he wanted to face the winner of the match between George South and Mance Warner at GCW's Now and Forever event. Darius thought he was likelier to get a match against someone who was not a champion. Darius would also add that GCW does not want him to go in there and have someone who wrestles at their shows once a year beat their champion.

Darius discussed the idea of challenging Tyrus for the NWA Ten Pounds of Gold Championship title. He talked about what it would mean to him. He said he wished he could have worked the territories. Darius said the NWA presents the Championship as an open challenge, but it feels like it could be more authentic.

Darius said it feels like they are giving only some opportunities to the most deserving talent and challengers in the business.

Darius said he would be defending his Warriors of Wrestling Heavyweight Championship on July 8th in a four-way match against TJ Marconi, Justin Adams, and  former WWE Superstar Carlito,

Darius talked about Sean Waltman (X-Pac) bringing his name up on Twitter and about the possibility of wrestling him. Darius said, "yeah, 110%." Darius said they would have an incredible and hard-hitting match.

Darius promoted his upcoming matchup again, Janai Kai, at Battle Club Pro's "Do the Fight Thing" show on Friday, June 17th.

How has he never wrestled at the United Center? That seems odd as hell.

Brion Harris

I don’t think WWE ran the United Center while Punk was active. Allstate Arena is their usual spot.
