News on Stardom at Forbidden Door (Patreon)

There’s a possibility that Stardom could be a part of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.

Fightful Select has learned that Stardom and All Elite Wrestling have had conversations about the possibility of integrating Stardom talent into the highly anticipated Forbidden Door show. Those that we’ve spoken to from both sides indicated there have been some hurdles, but specifically Toni Storm was mentioned as a name for a Stardom talent to face.

We’ve been told that one of the main talking points is what Stardom talent would be available, as the company has their own show that same weekend. There have been discussions as to how to make it work, and it has been indicated to Fightful that it’s something All Elite Wrestling is hoping to make happen if they can pull it off.

We’ve also since learned that there were conversations with Stardom in 2022 for a similar booking. In the end, Thunder Rosa ended up facing Toni Storm instead.

Basically the entire Stardom Roster are booked on the 25th June Stardom Sunshine event. It's why they were hoping to get Mercedes.

I appreciate it, tbh I really didn’t even know they had a big show coming up. With the way STARDOM World uploads the shows I’m always behind and I don’t read spoilers. So I’m probably a month or more behind because I haven’t had time to catch up, sorry if I came off as a dick.

Why didn’t these conversations take place sooner? They’ve known what the issues were since last year based on Tony’s response to a question asked in the post Forbidden Door scrum. It just seems like really poor planning to me.
