This week's Wrestling Perspective Podcast had two guests this week! IMPACT Wrestling's Jody Threat and Ace Steel! Yes, that Ace Steel! Ace will join the show for his segment "10 Minutes with Ace!"

Ace started the show by discussing how he has not been around NXT since 2021. Then, he mentioned before he left the WWE, he was at one of the last tryouts; Ace said that tryout featured a 19-year-old Thea Hail, who still needed to finish High School. He mentioned remembering seeing Tiffany Stratton and Cora Jade.

Ace talked about being at Bron Breakker’s tryout, which he said was a brutal workout. He mentioned that Breakker, at that time, had not much training. Ace said Bron ran the ropes like his Dad [Rick Steiner], but Bron sounded like Scott. Ace did crack a joke saying, “ Ace said he does not know if Bron does math as Scott does, but he certainly sounds like it.”

Ace also mentioned Tony D’Angelo being there and said Tony wasn’t a huge wrestling fan, but he was a natural. Then, Ace would talk about Stratton some more. Ace said, “if they don’t hire this girl” “What the hell are they looking for?”

Ace said there was a mandate that they would cut them loose if someone were not going anywhere after two years. He told Lars and Dennis that if you look at Tiffany Stratton is used brilliantly. Ace said Tiffany’s first match was in front of her peers, which can be tough; however, Ace said she hit it out of the park.

Steel mentioned Joe Gacy was another person who was in control pretty quickly. He said seeing some things evolve for Gacy, like his own stable, is good.

Ace said he was Grayson Waller’s day-one coach at the performance center. He said Grayson is excelling  on SmackDown and said Waller’s great on the mic, and added, “once they gave Grayson an opportunity, he took off with it.”

Ace also talked about the wrestlers who came from Evolve. Ace talked about WWE bringing in Evolve wrestlers and telling them that there was no secret that WWE hired them to be “mechanics,” which meant to elevate talent. Ace said he told some of those Evolve wrestlers that they have a chance to show what they can offer every time they get into the ring.
