Fightful spoke with Dax Harwood ahead of FTR With Dax Live on March 30 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in LA.

Dax admitted that he's got heat for several podcasts that he's done, but he's always happy to talk things out directly. He said that he expected some of it with the CM Punk situation, but that he still speaks to CM Punk almost daily. However, they have an understanding that if things get too negative, they'll scale it back. He actually expected to not like CM Punk when he first came in, but they hit it off and became close friends. He said that he wanted the first episode to be about Punk because he wanted people to know his truth on the situation.

He says that he and CM Punk will talk the current landscape of wrestling, but will also just send each other Bret Hart clips sometimes. Dax said that Punk has been reading Steve Kiern's book and said that it's made him miss wrestling, and that he still loves it.

Dax's hope is that CM Punk, Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, and everyone involved moves past it, and said that the fight is a "shit happens" situation. He wants everyone to move past it and work together, and it's his belief that AEW needs CM Punk, Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks. He said that he did get heat for the CM Punk episode, but he did also get some positive feedback from it.

The full interview can be accessed by tier 2 members early, and is public Friday to gain full context on the quotes.

Genuinely hope all involved with the Punk/Elite situation can make amends privately and work together. It would be one of the best programs in a long time. And make AEW a ton of money.

If they can work past their issues and turn it into a program, it would be the hottest thing in wrestling. I am not optimistic that the bucks will do that.

I mean he publicly slandered them then physically assaulted Matt Jackson so I can’t blame the Bucks for not being keen to work together. If Punk comes back I’m pretty sure they’ll leave.

Unless Brooks is willing to come in and job cleanly to Hangman Page, then fuck him

Did privately make amends and work together" mean nothing in what I said?! It's a given that Punk would have to do business in the fued. Never crossed my mind that he wouldn't have to do business.
