There's a huge free agent on the market, although he's certainly got more years behind him than ahead of him.

Fightful Select has confirmed that Bill Goldberg's WWE contract expired at the end of 2022, and no deal to renew or extend was reached. Goldberg has been officially a free agent since that point.

The 56-year old Bill Goldberg only wrestled once in 2022, losing the last match on his contract to Roman Reigns. Over the last couple of years, Goldberg put over Braun Strowman, Drew McIntyre, Reigns and Bobby Lashley, though he got a win back over Lashley. Half of his matches since 2018 were in Saudi Arabia, and all of them were either for Saudi shows or "big 4" WWE PPV events.

Goldberg actually wrestled the last match on the deal at last year's WWE Elimination Chamber PPV, but there was still a period of ten months on the deal. During his most recent run, Goldberg won the WWE Universal Title twice, losing it both times at WrestleMania.

There were rumors that AEW was interested in Goldberg in 2019, but that was never confirmed.

I could see Tony kicking the tires and bringing him in for a few “dream” matches like Wardlow and Hobbs

Yet the one person he did not put over effectively had their career killed by the situation. Bray’s career nosedived after getting buried by him and still has not recovered. I’m still bitter about it.

I actually think he would work in Impact though. The schedule is lighter and he would benefit from pre taped matches and editing

Please just let him disappear. He has two moves, can't go more than 5 minutes, has always been unsafe in the ring, and nobody really wants him around anymore.

I mean he's never won a title at Mania... YET!!!!!

Speak for yourself. I don't mind Goldberg showing up a few times a year to put someone down. Just don't need him in main events.

If AEW brings in Goldberg and doesn’t bring back Punk I’m done.

How do I have no memory of his match against Roman?

John Horton

Show up for what exactly? To do a spear and jackhammer for the millionth fucking time because that's all he knows how to do? I do give him credit for occasionally kicking people in the head and ending careers though.

TK. I know it's tempting. Don't do it. For all your stars, don't.

I'm honestly fine with it, as long as it's like a one off or two off, etc. If it culminates, say, in Wardlow going over, I'm down.
