Tokyo Sport has reported that Sarray is leaving WWE.

Fightful Select was able to confirm the report, including that Sarray has bookings elsewhere. However, WWE has yet to comment to our numerous inquiries about her in an official capacity. Since word emerged that she'd be leaving WWE imminently. We've learned more.

We're told the beginning of the end was actually early in 2022, when many of her biggest supporters were let go from NXT. Sources within the brand said that she never factored into a consistent or major creative fashion after that. We're told by the spring of 2022, that the writing was on the wall. William Regal's departure was one that many pointed to as a turning point.

Those who frequent the Performance Center said that she hadn't been around in "ages," and weren't given any answers when they'd ask about her. It was widely accepted within the company that the creative given to her was outright bad.

Those within the company said that Sarray took great pride in helping Tiffany Stratton along during their short feud, and seemed to think a lot of the up and coming talent. Though there was a language barrier, we've heard no issues in her dealing with anyone, and only heard positive things about her from others in the WWE PC.

WWE has still not confirmed things to us officially, but we're told her work with them is effectively done.

Anybody misread that for Saraya at first glance?

Jordan Lassiter

She really didn’t have anything going for her outside of being a good wrestler

Mark Butchers

So when Bruce Pritchard started having a say in nxt? I suppose he couldn't find another Asian to team her with as that's his only creative he can come up with for Asian wrestlers

Elaquent

Wasted her time

TorchCrawler

She never really got featured much even during black & gold. Then everyone she could put on bangers with (how most international talent initially gets over in WWE) got moved to main/released.

Tamba

I really hope AEW scoops her up

Jon Blain

And the character she got was never really explained much outside of “it’s from my grandmother”

Shannon Willis

Kairi seems to have some plans for April.

Matt Hennessy

I feel like the two biggest victims from the transitions of black & gold to 2.0 where Sarray & Kushuda. Both are phenomenal wrestlers but when NXT focous was more on characters & personalities & less on the in ring the writing was on the wall for both. Certain people from black and gold era that where apart of 2.0 won’t affected as they could the character work & over top characters like Knight Ciamps Gargano Grines Escobar & a few year others. But some did suffer from it. Wishing her the best

Kamonte Jackson

Best of luck to her. I really like Sarray and wanted to see her succeed in WWE. I thought she would become the NXT Woman's Champion. I hope one day she comes back so we could maybe see her Against IO Shari or maybe even Askua

Kyle Cotton

Such a shame. She was one of those talents that just let her go out there and wrestle and she’ll get over and did. How you can have no creative plans even in the mid-cardiac disgraceful on Shawn’s part. Hell they could have given her a run with Thea and Chase U and gotten a fun tag team out of it with their infectious energy. The NXT 2.0 reboot really just over complicated everything.

Kyle Cotton

Sarray was featured heavily in the summer before the 2.0 reboot working with a lot of top and upcoming talent.

Colin Mathie

Im delighted she's going back to Japan, hopefully she'll be Kairi's partner in April at the Yokohama show.

another Japanese talent wasted when going to the Fed… how many is that now since the 90s?

Collin Ingram

She is going back to be in Japan where they have the best Woman’s division
