The Wrestling Perspective is one of Fightful's newest shows. It’s hosted weekly by Lars Frederiksen of the Punk Rock Band "Rancid" and Dennis Farrell. This week, they interviewed IMPACT Wrestling’s Masha Slamovich before her match against Mickie James at IMPACT Wrestling’s No Surrender PPV event.

Masha talked about her heritage and how she never watched nor paid attention to older Russian wrestling characters. She was never interested in doing the stereotypical Russian gimmick where she would wave a flag or support the USSR. Masha spoke about her time wrestling in Russia and the industry in her native country. She mentioned the two big Independent promotions she worked for were the IWF [Independent Wrestling Federation] and Northern Star Wrestling. She compared Deathmatches to a nice high that you get into it, and that once you get going, everything is crisp around you, and you're hyper-focused on your next opponent.

She promoted her upcoming match against Aja Kong for Prestige Wrestling and also talked about her forthcoming appearance at the Carrott Cup tournament in Germany.

The interview will be available on Youtube and your favorite Podcast platforms on Sunday, February 26th, at 12:00 PM Eastern.
