WWE has interest in bringing back yet another female wrestler who was released during the pandemic.

Fightful Select has learned that WWE has interest in bringing Mia Yim back to the company. Yim was released by WWE in November 2021 after a run on WWE Raw as Reckoning, and being swapped between brands without appearing anywhere. Yim actually didn't wrestle any matches for 15 months while being parked by WWE and having her non-compete run out.

Yim spent five months this year with IMPACT Wrestling before wrapping up with the company after their set of Bound For Glory tapings. We're told that WWE was aware that her agreement with IMPACT was coming up and had interest in anticipation of it. We haven't learned of a potential start date, but she's expected to be brought back soon.

So excited if she does end up coming back! Love the HBIC!

I hope they do because she deserved an actual run I don't know why they kept teasing a match with Asuka back in 2020 and never delivered but if they're just going to bring her back I REALLY hope there's follow-through, not for the pop.

So she’s on SmackDown tonight

Dave O'Neill

Cant wait til the interview and they ask "Any Questions" and she says "why'd you fire my husband after giving him a racial gimmick" SUCH GOOD SHIT

How long before WWE gets called out for having a bloated roster?

Raven Price

Probably never given that they have a literal streaming service and the screen time to handle it. They don't have enough women. They need more talent that they can put on TV right away.

I guess when major talents stop getting used for no reason other than bloat. Hasn't happened yet has it?

Matt Hennessy

Surprised AEW never tried to sign Mia as she could have added to their woman’s division & on top of that they already signed Keith Lee. Anyways big win for WWE & there woman’s division

Alex

I feel like Mia is WWEs ticket to Keith Lee once his AEW contract expires. I wouldn't be surprised if he goes over there now.

Kyle Cotton

Probably not any time soon since they eight and a half hours of contracted programming they have to fill every week compare to three TV contracted hours regarding the criticism you are referring to.

Mia has repeatedly said she has all the respect for Hunter, and loved her time in NXT. She said these things before the investigation into Vince went public, before Hunter took over. Mia made a whole video on her time in NXT. She specifically didn't do podcasts and interviews about her release so people wouldn't get it twisted. Her & Keith's problems were with very specific people.

CSDX

Here come the people saying "Keith Lee will wanna go back cause of Mia" because...oh, wait, they already arrived. Either way, these returns are gonna run out eventually, and then WWE gotta start doing good stories for them while the roster gets bloated.

TorchCrawler

I feel like this community needs to know this... Implying that WWE is hiring Mia in order to get Keith Lee back is misogynistic and gross. She is a whole ass human being that is very talented, and was also hired to WWE the first time BEFORE Keith was.
