The landscape for several independent promotions could be changing.

Fightful has learned that multiple prominent independent promotions have reached deals to air on FITE+ in an expanded deal. FITE has been a significant platform for promotions of all sizes for several years. We haven't learned whether or not there will be additional price points, packages, or details, as right now most events are available there 30 days after airing. It was largely implied to us that several indies would be joining as a live streaming option for one price point of the subscription.

We're told there will be multiple announcements in November.

We inquired with GCW about whether or not this is where they're headed, but were given a comical non answer of "WWE is going to Fite+?"

For those that have asked, we did ask GCW about rumors of a WWE partnership. We were given a statement that indicated they'd announce their streaming plans November 1. WWE wouldn't deny it but a rep said they're in favor of people telling other people to watch WWE Raw. All signs point to this being a (apparently very effective) rib. Joey Janela simply said he couldn't say anything when we asked, but we've been giveN no indications that the two sides are actually working together.

Very interesting

Well if there wasn’t smoke to the fire then why wouldn’t WWE just outright deny it? Of course I’m no journalist and have no skin in the game one way or another but I would think WWE doesn’t really need the extra publicity so I would think they would outright deny any claims of companies streaming on their platform. Just my opinion though

Some media entertainment companies don't comment on rumor-mill, as speculation can bring cashflow. Even with something they know nothing about.

Has anyone noticed GCW working with CyberFight since April? Some of their shows were put on Wrestle Universe right around the time Brett did the podcast saying GCW was working with the "biggest wrestling company" (CyberAgent is a bigger corporation than WWE). DDT has been writing profile pieces on GCW wrestlers for the fans in Japan to learn more about them and we just got the announcement of DDT being at The Collective next year.

While that is mostly true, I haven’t known WWE to not just outright deny a story if there’s no truth to it. WWE, at least lately in reports I’ve read, is usually pretty transparent but maybe they just don’t wanna comment on it I dunno

The only time I’ve seen WWE outright deny something it usually involves people like Alberto Del Rio and Velveteen Dream for obvious reasons.
