Update on Ricky Starks (Patreon)

There were a lot of questions surrounding Ricky Starks after his quick loss at AEW All Out 2022 to Will Hobbs.

Fightful Select learned ahead of the show that Will Hobbs was in line for a push, but weren't given any indication that the match would be as abbreviated as it was. We were told by AEW sources that Ricky Starks and Hobbs had more time budgeted for it, but the match went light on time. We're working to find out if there's any info to conflict with that.

For those that speculated Ricky Starks was injured, we've confirmed that isn't the case, and he's healthy and good to go. There were dark Twitter rumors that Ricky Starks had asked out of his contract, and others that claimed he'd just signed a new contract. Both of those were denied to us from AEW sources weeks ago, just after the AEW talent meeting.

Fightful Select had reported Sunday that the working plan was for Will Hobbs to get a push.
