More news on WES postponing their show (Patreon)

WES announced that their big show in Nottingham was delayed from this weekend to July 9.

Fightful learned of the news yesterday when talent were informed that due to some issues with the arena, that the event had to be pulled back. Talent were told they were to be paid to a certain extent, but we haven't learned if that's happened as of yet. There are numerous people booked on the card who have said they won't be heading over there in July. Word was spread when Chelsea Green said the show wasn't happening on Monday night, before the venue announced it Tuesday. Several talent were very upset about the postponement.

Originally, the show was planned for Dubai, but the passing of the Sheikh caused things to change for them. We're told that they had to scramble to find a venue, and did in Nottingham. The former AOP were promoting the event and already started to do media, including an interview with Fightful that will still air this week. Their reasoning for the Queen's jubilee celebrations was a new aspect Fightful hadn't heard.

Between Monday and Tuesday, WES and Motorpoint arena confirmed July 9 as the make up date. When we spoke to Gzim Selmani (Rezar), he'd seemed hopeful that WES would be a long term play for them.

The promotion had some surprises planned for this weekend's show that we're working to learn more about. We'll have more news on the company and AOP this week.
