 - Hobbs tells everyone to bet on Powerhouse Hobbs & Ricky Starks at Double or Nothing

- Hit it off with Ricky right away when they crossed paths before AEW. Ricky gave him advice to “do his thing” when he was doing enhancement work. Calls Team Taz a “pot of gumbo” with different seasonings.

- Not happy with just a contract, “I’m greedy.” Wants the ball, wants to run with it, knows he can be the face of the company. Feels he had to make a change with his physique and the evolution will keep growing. “I don’t want anyone staying that I’ve stayed the same.”

- Knew that with his size against Orange Cassidy, who was feuding with Jericho at the time, he would be featured in a video package. “My job was to go out there and make his superman punch look so believable.” Had people thanking him and saying sorry. “Don’t say sorry, I knew what was going to happen.” Wasn’t mad because he knew his job. “Look at what happened. Look at the opportunities I’ve got.”

- Arn Anderson says Hobbs has the best spinebuster.

- CM Punk asked him for input on their match. “That meant the world to me.” The match showed he was value by the company. Punk knew his mom had passed a month earlier. Punk pulled him aside and said “Your mom is here” and he didn’t worry about the 20,000, just that his mom was there spiritually. Punk told him “this is for your mom” after the match. “Ever since then, him and I have a friendship.” Punk will watch matches with him. Says Punk acknowledging his mom passing and knowing the pressure he was feeling meant the world to him. Wouldn’t change anything about the match.

- Tony Khan asked him about ideas for his match against Darby Allin. It was the first match Tony produced.

- Wants to be the first African American AEW World Champion. “Everything I’ve done to the point, proves I can hold the title.”

- Has great mentors and names Mark Henry, Arn Anderson, Billy Gunn, FTR, CM Punk, Dustin Rhodes, and Dean Malenko. “The things they’re teaching me, I’m putting in my matches.”

- Spoke from his personal experiences when he released statement on diversity following Big Swole’s comments. “I speak on Will Hobbs only.”

- MC Hammer was not a gangster rapper despite being part of Death Row.

- Is always saying dumb stuff like quoting movies and rap lyrics.

- Tony Khan inspired the fur coat. “That’s how gangster Tony is.” Overalls were inspired by Bell Biv DeVoe

- Will be singing Poison at AEW karaoke

- Red Hot Chili Peppers is on his playlist along with Michael McDonald, Warren G, and 90s rap.

- Likes “baby I’m sorry” music, especially groups.

- @nukatnite designed his overalls.

- Is going to win on Sunday because it’s his daughters second birthday. “Dad isn’t coming home empty handed.”
