You've speculated about possible big matches for Cody in WWE, challenging Roman etc. Is this just speculation, or have sources indicated to you that these types of scenarios are legitimately being considered? The idea of them pushing him as a huge star, which he never really was in his previous run, basically tells the WWE audience that this guy became a huge star by leaving here. Seems like the last thing Vince would want to do. I have no doubt he would be willing to pay someone big money to wallow in the midcard just to get one over on the competition.

I saw this speculated elsewhere and wonder your opinion on it. A lot of people were saying the “deal breaker” was Cody losing his booking power backstage, for better or worse on that. No matter how much you like his booking, he did have the Factory, and had a hand in training a lot of people. My question is…. What if a big point of Cody going back to WWE is to help run NXT? Follow on his father’s footsteps this way. Especially since HHH and his crew are gone, Cody can take the reigns with the younger talent and help train them to be main-roster ready. This probably doesn’t line up with what Nick Khan sees NXT as, but this could be something Vince wants to do.
