Fightful spoke to Lady Frost, who we reported had contract offers from NWA and IMPACT Wrestling. However, she actually had a WWE tryout in 2018 after having her first match ever live on TV with Asuka. She told us that originally her promo was supposed to be a pretape but when she showed she could handle it well, it was moved to live. She talked about the match briefly with Asuka, everything went well and she was offered a WWE tryout. When she performed at the tryout she believed things went smoothly and was optimistic about possibly getting an offer, but was later told by a WWE official that she was "too old" to get an offer, as she was already in her 30s.
Lady Frost confirmed to us that there was a contract offer from NWA that she passed on earlier this Summer. She worked a series of dates and was offered a deal before appearing on the Empowerrr PPV. When she rejected the deal, she was concerned that it would actually affect her status for the PPV, but NWA assured her it wouldn't. She also made a series of appearances for ROH years ago, and had sold her home (along with Victor Benjamin) to relocate closer to Maryland to be at the dojo. She's later leave to spend more time training at CHIKARA. Frost spoke about her couple of appearances on AEW Dark last year, and said IMPACT veteran Kevin Mathews put in a call to QT Marshall to help her get booked
