In an update, we're told that there is a significant network backing the new WOW project.

With the help of a major network, WOW seems like it's back on track for a return. Fightful has heard of a press event scheduled for this week involving Tessa Blanchard and another WOW Women of Wrestling veteran to announce the relaunch, which we've been told is not supposed to take place until well into 2022.

Viacom has been involved with the product, although we're not sure to what extent or what platform is slated for WOW to return.

After the group lost their television deal with AXS, Fightful was told by numerous people who were involved in the product that they had no contact with WOW in the year-plus that they'd been absent from the public scene. Within WOW, there were numerous accusations of bullying from Blanchard, who wrestled one match since April 2020.

We've heard of WOW reaching out to other talent, and that the NGW teasers that ran this summer were a rebrand effort from WOW. There were teases of October 6 -- tonight's date for a press conference, that featured Tessa Blanchard's tattoo as well.

Somebody somewhere had to let them know this might be a bad idea, right?

I suppose Jeanie Buss brings enough legitimacy that Viacom would be willing to get involved?

Wonder if it will land on Paramount+
