WWE Draft is upon us, and as is tradition, WWE is playing it close to the vest.

Talent across the roster that Fightful have spoken to haven't been given any details about the upcoming draft, and if they'll move accordingly. Last year, one talent was able to learn some of the planned moves, and clued in some of the other wrestlers ahead of time.

Fightful was able to speak to top names on Raw, Smackdown, and NXT and as of the middle of the week, none had any idea where they were supposed to go in the draft. One top name said they expected it would be about how it usually is, with them not knowing. We also learned that those stuck in NXT limbo between the main roster weren't told where they'd be drafted to or if they'd even be drafted.

In addition, Fightful was told that names in talent relations didn't even know where things would be headed as of Wednesday. On Thursday, Fightful was told by talent that they also didn't know what the format was supposed to be.

We've confirmed as of 12:30 PM EST Friday, that while there may be some crossover, there are several top WWE Raw stars who are not traveling to the site of Smackdown tonight.

I remember hearing how these drafts are terrible for couples because they can get split up when they're told they won't be split up. I know they're not telling talent anything so nothing is leaked but I wish they did so talent would be ready for the change.

At the same time it turns into the info being leaked which kills any surprises that WWE maybe trying to get.

last few years they’ve kept couples together to avoid pissed talent it would seem. It just sucks that they’d get the news so late.

You’d think you could say “we’re splitting you” or “you’ll be together” without revealing WHICH show they’re going to. Or, you get the chance to mess with people’s minds for another couple hours.

This is people's lives. When Pro sports teams trade someone who finds out via the news or twitter we think that gauche and effing with someone's life. Especially if they kept getting told they weren't getting traded or not given at least a heads up. This is no different. It's shortsighted and ends up really messing with people. We all know the infamous story of how JR got to Smackdown.
