A major title change took place on AEW Dynamite tonight, with Sammy Guevara defeating Miro to become the TNT Champion. By a couple of hours ahead of the show, several backstage knew the title change was taking place.

Fightful has learned that plans were put in place for the title change around All Out. Beyond that, at one point the title change was tentatively planned for the AEW Arthur Ashe show on September 22, before being moved to this week.

NOTE: Apologies for the spoilers for our West Coast readers. We'll do better. -- SRS

Hey! It would be great if you don't put spoilers in the post tile or at least have the words SPOILERS. Some people watch at a later time and the show isn't live on the west coast I think.

That seems reasonable. Having the Patreon app on my phone it shows up as an alert with the title.

I know for me if I'm not catching the show live and I'm worried about spoilers I don't have notifications on and don't check the site..... I find that keeps from having things spoiled ;)

Nah West Coast is ok 👌🏽 about it

This title change has been spoiled for me now with this post (wanted to watch this tomorrow with my brother). No worries about that, not the end of the world. Glad you changed the title of the post now and can maybe consider this in the future. :) Anyway, great work otherwise!

Hey, you're a lot better than AEW and TNT on social media haha.

What's next for Miro?? He's too good to not be represented highly 🤷🏼‍♂️

Damian Bushay

Damn, I was watching the show 20 minutes behind and got spoiled

Want to just give my appreciation to SRS for a cool response to the issue about spoilers. I had words with a certain “journalist” many years back bc of a change in their reporting resulted in spoilers and they were a dipshit in response. I’m no longer on social media and last nights email did spoil the result for me. Sean striving to do better rather than telling readers to cut themselves off from all communication to the outside world, that’s part of what I appreciate about this service. Thank you.

Paul

Thanks for the response re: spoilers. As a UK viewer who watched the morning after I did get spoiled by this, but mainly because Patreon included the first part of the post text in the notification. So if avoiding spoilers is the plan in future, it might be best to have the first couple of sentences in a post be spoiler free too.
