More Details On Recently Released WWE Talent, Longtime NXT Employees Not Knowing Beforehand (Patreon)

WWE has continued their cuts, as the most recent batch were a group of NXT talent.

Alex Zayne spoke with Fightful and mentioned that William Regal was in shock when he got the call from Zayne to talk to him after the release. Regal said he was not informed that the cuts were coming and Zayne said he was either genuine or a fantastic actor. Word of the releases emerged about a half hour to an hour after the talent was released, so Regal would not have got the talent relations notification of the releases by then. It appears Regal, as scout and on-screen general manager for NXT, was not informed that the releases were coming before they weren't.

Zayne said that John Laurinaitis made the call and was very polite to him. Zayne has a 30 day non-compete clause, as did many of the NXT talent released.
