It's been a while since we've seen AEW's Butcher, also known as Andy Williams. AEW sources indicated to Fightful that Butcher tore his thumb during his match with Darby Allin back in April and has been recovering. Butcher is in Chicago for AEW All Out weekend, but we haven't been told that's for any on-screen purpose. The company held a fan fest Friday and Saturday and brought several talent not currently on TV in for the events

I'm not sure what tearing your thumb entails but sounds awful

Saw he was playing at the softball game Friday, so hopefully a good sign

Can't wait for him to get back. Butcher and The Blade have been huge for AEW throughout the pandemic. They're great midcard heels.

He played in the softball game Thursday night

He’s been doing gigs with his band. Obviously, that doesn’t mean he’s cleared to wrestle but a good sign none the less.

He's played a few shows with ETID the last few weeks so I'm guessing the thumb is recovered

Butch!! Butcher Blade and Bunny were one of my favorite factions. Hoping that his return + Allie's alliance with Penelope releases them from Matt Hardy's Island of Misfit Tag Teams.

Miss the butcher. Can’t wait for him to come back

Have to think an injury like that would screw up his other job glad he's doing ok, hope to see him back soonish.

I wish he got a bigger push. His look when he debuted was dope.

Any idea on how long the show could be? 3 or 4 hours?
