If you still had any doubts that CM Punk was making his way back to wrestling for AEW, TNT itself is operating on the assumption he's coming in, based on those we spoke to.

Fightful spoke with multiple people involved with WarnerMedia and TNT, who spoke of the excitement of bringing in CM Punk, and noted that he'll have their promotional machine behind him upon his return. We weren't told what exactly that would entail, but were told that TNT and WarnerMedia were both "very aware" of this. The same employees cited expressed that AEW running four shows over a few weeks in the same market and selling the way that they did impressed many within the company. One TNT source that we spoke with about the situation said they were particularly excited about the United Center/Chicago/Bulls/tie in.

Social media value is gonna skyrocket, legitimately a marketing fairytale

SRS, think there is any chance we could see him tonight? That way, they could advertise him for Friday?

Great work Sean, I haven’t been this excited about Wrestling in a long time.

SRS bringing the heat.

That's nice and all but... what if he doesn't show up? /s Edit: Guys, I was kidding. I'm aware of the news, I'm just repeating people who are denying he'll show up.

SRS has just told us in the words of OLI DAVIS "CM PUNK TO AEW CONFIRMED"

I can already see the ads featuring CM Punk airing on Raw and Smackdown during commercial lol

The only reason AEW hasn’t said he’s showing up is to drive interesting, I would assume. But I seriously doubt they’d promote him and TNT would discuss him if he wasn’t under contract.

Picture it, the show starts with the lights out and the Bulls intro comes on then they say “From Chicago Illinois!!!! and Cult of Personality plays https://youtu.be/pWBXBo7ZH-E

When he finally walks out it’ll be the best wrestling tv since Jerry Lawler showed up in the ECW Arena.

The minute I hear cult of personality I’m going to mark out so hard my wife is going to have me committed

The number of people questioning if he’s showing up is absurd at this point. He is. He’s debuting on Friday. It’s unspoken to add to the anticipation. The only variables are how he shows up and what part(s) of the show he shows up on.

Very excited and I love watching AEW grow

I think that’s the only person I’m the most excited to hear from after Friday night.

The real news out of this is how Turner is pumped up about AEW and are going to put their marketing behind Punk.

Raymond Slover

5 shows if you count Milwauke on the 25th, which is only an hour away.

Doug McCloud

This is definitely not the same company that kicked WCW to the curb 20 years ago...

No with all the buzz it should be the main event angle. If you do it first then people may tune out after. Make them wait, we've waited 7 years what is another 50+ minutes?

My brain couldn't help but initially read "Bulls/Tie in" as "Bullshit".
