There was a bit of a miscommunication between Pabst Blue Ribbon and All Elite Wrestling, leading to the advertisement you saw on the AEW Dynamite last week. We're told PBR had hoped to capitalize on the Domino's/Nick Gage controversy of two weeks ago and had rushed production of a commercial that was set to feature Adam "Hangman" Page. We're told that Page flew to St. Louis to film the commercial and was paid a flat fee, but that an All Elite Wrestling rep put a stop the production before filming commenced as there were additional clearances and agreements that were required.
The advertisement that ended up airing featuring Matt Cardona, Hornswoggle, Brian Myers and Chelsea Green went through significant edits to remove wrestling moves from the spot at the request of the WarnerMedia ad department, not AEW specifically.

Hopefully he can be in another one!

After seeing Adam Page’s Dark Order commercial on BTE, I wished it was hangman in the PBR spot lol

That would have been dope.

Oh the joys of corporate red tape.

Are you aware of if those disagreements would prevent a future partnership between PBR and AEW? I know the ad still showed up, but it seemed that PBR was wanting a closer relationship. Thanks!

I'm sure AEW would be on board if conditions were met but that's just me speculating

Aww bummer. At least Hangman was paid. I hope they plan it out better and try to make another commercial again.

Are AEW wrestlers independent contractors?

Have there been any updates on WWE/ AEW Delta contingency plans for the remainder of August and heading into the Fall with respect to alternative venues?

That’s a miss for AEW but a win for the others involved
